The four things in the order of importance to the ‘real voters’ in Nigeria are; religion, tribe, servicing of political pipelines, and performance.
The actual voters in Nigeria are those who take directives from their religious and tribal leaders in exchange for pots of pottage. Unfortunately, they are not on social media; in countries where things work efficiently have no android phones and are the most vulnerablcritical
In contrast, in countries where things work efficiently, performance and integrity play critical roles in electing leaders into positions of authority. They care less about the tribe. They believe in God, wisdom from above, and their capability to make good and right choices to do all things. They engage in critical thinking and hardly make the same mistakes twice.
For Nigeria’s dry bones to rise again, voters should give their heaviest scores to performance, integrity (honesty, accountability, transparency), selflessness, critical thinking, and vision in the next election. We all have a role to play in this. Anything otherwise might just be a good night. Grace and peace!!!
