Today is Sunday and Christians are in Churches praising and worshipping God. As we do so, let us remember Nigerians in all facets of our endeavor, for God to give us the wisdom to navigate through the rough stretches of these dangerous times.
On those plotting to revenge what people do to them, please tarry a while because Jehovah’s promise never ends unfulfilled. He is well able to take revenge on our behalf – Romans 12: “Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” says the Lord” Also compare Deuteronomy 32:35.
For us Christians, we always believe that the hand of God is not too short to reach and save us wherever we are- Isaiah 59:1. His banner over us is love. God is not deaf that He cannot hear our prayers. He is definitely not blind not to see our travails. So why must man fight God’s battle?
May Jehovah teach us how to truly love our neighbours, how to show empathy to the infirm and those mourning, so that when we are done with the buying and selling in this world, we shall have a good night sleep.
Let us remember that when we revenge, we may get even, we may triumph but it is sourly expensive in terms of materials and human resources. The carnage that follows reprisals is discomforting to society and we must avoid it.
Do have a great week. Grace and peace!!!
