When I read Ayo Olamide of inside glasshouse’s reportage on the unfortunate reactions of our fans to the exit of Nigeria from this year’s world cup, I couldn’t but wonder what is happening to us as a people.
I honestly think we have completely lost our integrity.
First, we lost our qualification to the World Cup.
Second, we are awaiting FIFA’s sanctions for our riotous behavior after our match with Ghana.
Third, and sadly, Dr. Joseph Kabungo, a doping medical expert was said to have slumped and died that same day we played Ghana.
Four, the fans also vandalized infrastructures within the Stadium.
Five, we have to wait for the next 4 years to try again for qualification
To crown it all, Olamide reported that the VAR machine used for that match cannot be found.
