PDP Bode George said he would go on voluntary self exile if Tinubu wins the 2023 Presidential election. He said he will be eighty years old next year and rhetorically asked on television, “What will I be doing in a Nigeria ruled by Tinubu?”
Another APC Chieftain, Babachir Lawal, the former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, has said he and other big wigs supporting Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, would relocate to Cameroon out of shame if Obi loses the 2023 presidential election.
Chief Afe Babalola, SAN, earlier in the year had called for the adoption of an Interim National Government at the end of the Muhammadu Buhari tenure to rejig our political system as a way of resolving our political maladies and failures permanently.
It is their wishes perhaps based on certain parameters. These are not “pickins.” Their statements are laced with deep interpretations for the deep to discern. It is not enough to wave them off as unserious people. They have seen so many years in the corridors of powers.
I am reading in-between the lines. I hope these statements do not have underlays? In ideal climes, these statements are worthy of deep excursion to avert any untoward results.
