The wealthy’s overflowing bank account does not necessarily make them happy people. The rich also need help as we the masses do and we all need a shoulder to lean on. Don’t we? If politicians know this, when they win elections, they will be grateful to us for voting them into offices by putting in place programs to remove millions of our people from poverty because they could not have been without us.
Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Atiku Abubakar, and Peter Obi, the front runners in the 2023 Presidential elections, are multi-billionaires. They are made, have strings of businesses, and can fly the best of classes anywhere in the world or even in private jets, just like we own cars, motorcycles, or bicycles. However, despite their riches, these guys need our help. They need us to campaign for them. They need us to come out and cast our votes for them. So, without the citizens’ votes, they cannot fulfill their next ambition: to become Nigeria’s President in 2023. To this end, they are also poor in what the poor have in abundance. If so, why must we allow our financial status to determine their state of happiness when the rich also need us to survive?
The rich depend on the needy for their comfort. The rich need cooks, house managers, carpenters, mechanics, electricians, artisans, prayers of the people, photographers, etc., to complement their efforts to live a good life. On the flip side, the needy also need the money from the rich to buy their basic survival needs.
From the above, let the wealthy not look down on the needy because we all need each other. The wealthy should appreciate the needy as God sent them to be their angels on earth. The day the needy stop attending to the rich, most of them cannot live happy lives. No matter the transformation of their environments through robotics and artificial intelligence systems, they need the needy to survive.
For those who see themselves as poor, you are not as poor as you think. Once you have good health, you can also be more prosperous than you imagine. Strive hard. Do not let your present state determine your next bus stop. You are greater than you think. Always remember that your tomorrow will be greater than today only if you know who you are and start working for success now.
