My heart goes to the families of those whose lives were cut short when suspected bandits or, in Nigerian parlance, ‘unknown gunmen’ shot and killed worshippers of St. Francis Catholic Church, Owo.
The most cowardly thing ever is to pump bullets into innocent worshippers. This cruel act is reprehensible and barbaric and should have no place in Nigeria.
I empathize with the Government and people of Ondo State and pray that God shall heal the land and grant those killed a good night’s rest.
The Governor though in shock, must not leave any stones unturned in bringing the perpetrators to justice. Until the government begins to bring perpetrators of these heinous crimes to account, make known and unmask the unknown gunmen, it will be business as usual.
We need peace in Nigeria. The killings across the country are becoming frightening and worrisome. Men and women of conscience should arise.
Grace and peace!!!
