As a young school teacher in Ansa-Ud-Deen Primary School, Aiyepe in the early 70s, my Headmaster acted like my biological Father. The School Islamic teacher, Mallam Balogun and I lived next to each other. There was nothing to show that we were of different faiths.
When I was transferred to Ishara, the Islamic teacher and I were the best of friends. Many Muslims in Nigeria attended Christian Schools, still do and vise-versa. So, at what point did religion put us asunder and how far shall the division take us, before we retrace our footsteps?
Let it be known that the ten most peaceful and productive nations are not driven by religiosity and spirituality without respect for law and order.
Grace and peace!!!
