Navigating Frustration and Finding Unity: A Call for Compassion in Challenging Times
Our people have been pauperized to a level that the government occasionally distributes food items to quench people’s hunger and anger. Unfortunately, I see the items posted online and yet to see them physically in my area.
I can feel the pains of fellow compatriots, and I know that with the huge resources deposited by God in Nigeria, His intention couldn’t have been for us to beg for bread.
So, life could be frustrating seeing office holders in profligate scandals of billion-billion stealing without severe consequences, and yet asked to tighten your already tight belts.
The anger is now all over the place. Some leading to online bullying and insults as a way of venting to offload frustrations.
The way some people respond to the posts I read in other platforms is as if they have personal scores to settle. These might worsen things for individuals.
Despite all we are passing through, please do not be too hard on yourselves or fellow Nigerians. Using certain terms against those responding to our posts might make some people stop commenting on issues. This won’t help our cause and course of direction. We need to be kind to ourselves at this time.
Grace and peace!!!
