We have lied to ourselves and denied the obvious for too long. Living in denial is the worst thing that enslaves a person into wrong beliefs and accepting deceptions and wrongs as realities.
Ultimately, it obscures our sense of rationality to take correctional steps towards attaining process improvements.
Nigeria has managed the downstream of the oil and gas sector using the same model for over four decades with the same results. Can’t we change the model for once?
As I look into the horizon, the political maneuvers to retain power in 2023 seems to be all that is in the air.
Our leaders are palliatively window dressing the issues of subsidy and deregulation, which if not well handled would likely give the 2023 incoming administration very serious challenges. When that time comes, Nigerians may not be as patient as they did with PMB, GEJ, OBJ, etc.
They could forcefully vent their anger on those taking the next political stage in a viral manner to the surprise of many.
God giving us the grace of long life, I pray the future proves me wrong.
