The Choice is ours

Wars, especially this Russian/Ukranian war are avoidable.

Nigerians heating the polity, or beating the drums of war on the pages of  META, TWITTER, INSTAGRAM, etc., should please stop.

EU leaders are now discussing possible support for a Ukranian government in exile. They have put plans in place for the safe exit of the President and his co-travelers in the corridors of power. Many political leaders don’t usually end up as dead, but the masses do. They are also the ones that end up in refugee camps.

Those watching the ongoing war in Ukraine should imagine if they were in the shoes of Ukranians now being killed, stranded at bus stations in the cold, trekking hundreds of kilometers to get to bus, or train stations. When the cloud clears, the leaders shall come back to sit on the throne secured with the blood of the masses.

Mastercard, verve and other sources of getting funds by the masses have been blocked. Meanwhile, the leaders have access to their Central Banks. After the war, masses will queue for akara, garri and pap. The big boys shall be served three square meals on golden tables in air-conditioned rooms. So, head or tail, masses remain perpetual losers.

If we must part ways to become 100 republics, let it come without bloodshed.

Let us also remember that dismembered nations are never really totally devoid of intermittent violence and loss of lives.

The Choice is ours.

Grace and peace!!!
