Instead of fighting over the presidency to uplift us, let us begin to concentrate on our states and local governance systems. Let us from 2023 begin to interrogate and hold to account our Governors and Local Government Chairmen.
If all Faith-Based Leaders in Nigeria critique the Governors and Local Government Leaders in their states and hold them to account for transparent and accountable leadership, Nigeria will be a better place. That is where to start reversing the misgovernance pervading our governance spaces.
This fight between North and South, Christian and Muslim will not help the cause of Nigerians. Lagos developed to its present level because of the foresightedness of individuals across the spectrum and not because of religion. It is not the leaders in religion that matter but how much of the riches and tenets in religion reside in leaders that will save us.
