“I have the mandate of all airlines to demand that Airlines begin importation of fuel, if we can buy planes of millions of dollars, we can also import fuel ourselves. Let NNPC give airlines licenses, we want to import ourselves,” – Allen Onyema, CEO of Air Peace.
We do not want more and more importation. We want people to build infrastructures to produce. The orientation should be building refineries for specific purposes. It will be cheaper on the long run..
The consortium of airline owners can come together to build modular refineries across the nation to produce Aviation Turbine Kerosene popularly called ATK, which is used to power jets. That is the only way Nigeria can avoid the chaotic downstream palava.
Is there anything in the law books that says airline operators can not have depots, filling stations, refineries and oil wells? If they are not sure of what to do, let them consult Dangote that plays along almost all the value chains in agriculture, manufacturing and oil and Gas.
No effort should be spared at building more refineries Allen Onyema can!
Grace and peace!!!
