Where, then, is integrity?

The reward system in any organization ensures that those who serve diligently and are loyal in service should be guaranteed a place in the top hierarchy of the enterprise. An enterprise without a transparent and accountable process for succession and promoting people from within will implode someday.

I know there is a place for experience hire, which is done for culture dilution and new ideas. But when the recruitment of experienced hires replaces merits, dwarfs the legacy plans, kills the traditional reward systems, and employees serve without growing horizontally or laterally because of inadequate reward systems, frustration will set in. When they have no hope of becoming who they thought they would become in the organization, they will sabotage it because those flat on the ground shall fear no fall.

I dare say that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has taken over the All Progressive Congress (APC), with Jonathan joining the APC. Check out the list of APC principal officers, the ranks of the Governors, and some of the ministers who were active members in the sixteen years of the PDP rule, and now, in the APC, one cannot but conclude that a new PDP has just emerged.

From simple logic, many of these guys jumped the sail to wipe their sins or destroy the APC to make it a newfound land for the PDP to adopt by proxy. If the points are not valid, where is the reward system for the real APC party faithful to the current APC setting as a political party?

Unfortunately, our political parties seem to have more interest in winning elections than in building legacies that organizations can emulate. Our parties are not based on solid ideological foundations but on a power grab philosophy to create personal wealth.

Politicians in successful climes have the culture of being liberals or conservatives. Take an example from the USA. The Democrats and Republicans being the two dominant parties, alternate ascension to the White House. When they lose elections, they return to the drawing board, strategize and bounce back. In Britain, one is ideologically a ‘Centre Right’ or ‘Centre Left.’ They can wait for many years, and no prominent actors will defect to the other party. When they are unhappy with the system, they will retire honorably. That is integrity.

Here, the reverse is the case. The APC once labeled the PDP nest of killers, while the PDP also accused the APC Government of creating a safety nest for Terrorists. Yet both are not ashamed to night-crawl into the opposing camps when their supporters are sleeping. At they day break, they openly take each other to the gutters but romantically yoke together at night thereby deceiving the electorates. Where, then, is integrity?

Welcome to a new reality—a new reality of the New PDP (nPDP) in the cloak of the APC. You may deny it or call me names, but the truth is, the APC has been seriously ingrained with the DNA of the PDP. Even if it won the next election, it would be a victory for the PDP.

I Sidon de look the ongoing political chess game. I come in peace!!!
