Choosing Wisely: The Impact of Decision Making in the Governorship and House of Assembly Elections
The beauty of making wrong choices by the people in next Saturday’s Governorship and House of Assembly elections is that citizens would have voluntarily opted to suffer more hardships. For example, how many of our Governors, House members that we voted into office four years ago, and their immediate families have you seen in the queues at gas stations for petrol and the ATMs for cash the way the masses do?
I, therefore, encourage you to vote wisely and not vote out of tribal or religious sentiments. Tribe or religion would not put food on the table for you and your families. Tribe or religion will not build roads, schools, and health facilities for you and Nigerians, insulating you from the overall suffering for making a mistake, nor will they send your children to school.
I beg of you, do not vote wrongly on Saturday and in the middle of their tenure; you ask God after that for intervention because of the suffering of the masses. God has given you the grace to choose your leader freely for the next four years. If you truthfully, with the fear of God, answer the question preceding the second paragraph of this post, you would vote your conscience for good governance. Good luck as you vote on Saturday.
Grace and peace!!!
