When Tired, Remember Joseph: A Wake-Up Call to Purpose and Perspective

When you wake up in the morning and feel tired, exhausted, and frustrated by life’s issues, remember Joseph, who was jailed for being a good man. His only offense was refusing to do the wrong thing. Yet in his endeavor, he found his breakthrough.

Also, remember that while you are in the comfort of your home, millions slept on the streets yesterday. Millions went to bed without dinner last night. Many more woke up this morning without breakfast, unsure where their next meal would come from.

What happened to Joseph, which seems fictional, occurs every day. Many people in our society have been jailed due to legal errors, mistaken identification issues, set-ups, etc., and these individuals are wrongfully imprisoned, spending the best years of their lives in prison. Yet here you are, in the comfort of your home, feeling downcast because of harsh economic conditions. It is okay to feel that way, my friend. However, it is not OK to remain passive.

You must awaken and combat procrastination, which is rapidly destroying people at dizzying rates. You must shift your mindset and attitude to more positivity, rectify past mistakes, and engage in spiritual warfare.

In that spiritual warfare, remember that it is not in all circumstances that you ask God to destroy your enemies. There are enemies God positions to help His manifestations of greatness in your life. For example, if that had been Joseph’s prayers—that is, to ask God to kill his brothers when he noticed their envy and jealousy—he wouldn’t have been sold into slavery, which began his torturous journey into the position and authority of governance in Egypt.

Thank you, Pastor Ogaga O. David, for that excellent teaching.

From that teaching, it is vivid that many used their tongues—power-packed—to destroy their destinies, because in destroying their perceived enemies, they also killed those who would have been part of their success stories in the future, as with Joseph. A typical analogy is the cancer therapy that destroys both the good and infected cells.

May God give us the anointing to pray aright always. It is well.

Grace and peace!!!
