The Natural Mystic: Reflecting on Bob Marley’s Prophetic Lyrics in the Face of Global Challenges – A Call to Action

It was Bob Marley, a great philosophical singer, who was misunderstood by many, who in 1977 said “there is natural mustic blowing through and if you listen carefully now, you will hear. Many more will have to suffer, many more will have to die, don’t ask me why?

Looking at the entire world as of today, and forty six years down the lane, I do not think there is anything more true than the lyrics of natural mystic.

Food prices are soaring, anti malaria, anti fungal and anti infective medications have now gone beyond the reach of the poor.

When people are hungry and can not feed, they shall have no immune system to wade off infections. If that occured and people can not buy medicines, don’t you think that many more will have to suffer and many more will have to die? Please, do not ask me why too.

While government is putting its ass together, is there anything we could begin to do, to turn any available land space in our compounds to farms? What can we as citizens do to help each other? Deep in thought.
