Eid al-Adha: A Call for Unity Between Christians and Muslims Through Shared Faith and Common Values

Why should there be rifts or animosity between Christians and Muslims when, indeed, what the Muslim faithfuls celebrate today is the story of Abraham’s obedience to God’s voice to sacrifice his son Isaac, which lessons we also cherish in the Christian faith? We should, therefore, begin to interrogate those who use religion to divide us when it so pleases them for their selfish ends.

As our Muslim friends celebrate Ei Al Adha today, may this day be a unifying factor, knowing fully well that we share many common beginnings.

May the good we do to each other and our sacrifices to make others happy help us in our journeys toward our evening. Eid Mubarak. Grace and peace!!!
