Something Must Kill a Man? A Reflection on Responsible Indulgence

Beware of products that the manufacturers or owners of the enterprises warn consumers to use responsibly. For example:
Smoke responsibly, drink responsibly, bet responsibly, etc.

What the above means is that the products have possible serious untoward consequences and addiction properties. But despite the warning, many more people get into smoking, drinking, betting every hour and not adhering to the manufacturers’ or owners’ advice of indulging in the acts responsibly.

When I reminded a friend of the warning:
“Drink responsibly, smoke responsibly, and bet responsibly,”
he simply replied with a classic answer,
“Thank you Gf. None of these things are permitted in heaven, so, let me enjoy them here on earth when I have life. Besides, something must kill a man.”

If you were in my shoes, what would you say in return to my friend?
