Breaking the Cycle: The Path to Development Beyond Political Dysfunction

A society that rewards political thuggery and vote-buying, indolence, tribalism, parochialism, sycophancy, and mediocrity, can never develop beyond the traditional society where killing and the heronizing of money, and looters, are the orders of the day.

A society that enables people to seek power using the do-or-die approach, and If I cannot have it, nobody else will, cannot attain political maturity in many generations to come.

Any system that supplants meritocracy for ethnic and religious considerations will end up breeding people that shall only be loyal to those who appointed them instead of the state.

An organization or a country that builds its structures around individuals instead of building them around enduring systems and institutions can hardly survive economic downturns and difficult times.

A society that disobeys its courts promotes disrespect for the rule of law and ends up littering its pathways to enablers of anarchy. It is only a matter of time to reap the whirlwind.
