Behind the Applause: What You Don’t See About Greatness
I have seen great men cry in private, but in public, they show the courage of a lion, the strength of an elephant, and the speed of an eagle to the applause of many.
Let us please take life easy. It is not as rosy for others as you think. Behind the steeliness and valor of the people we admire could be a broken heart and a lonelier life than you imagine. Little do many realize that the happiness they have is an unquantifiable blessing, even when measured against the happiness scale of the person they believe is on top of the world.
Business might be in a slump, marriage may be wavering, children might not have turned out as expected, your boss could be giving you a hard time, your next-door neighbor might be a constant irritant, your parents may be unable to help, your children may not have the wherewithal to assist you during your travails and so on. So what?
My friend, for every lament you have, many others are also mourning in their lives. Not noticing their suffering doesn’t mean they are free from pain. The only difference is that they cling to the God they serve and believe that their tomorrow will be better. Despite hard times, they still wake up to walk, run, and work while others stay down or are too weak to rise.
If you’re reading this, then you’re a privileged person. It also means that you have hope for a better tomorrow. I pray tonight provides you with the wisdom to understand who you are and what God created you to pursue, because I have seen people do what was meant for others, and until they changed, nothing seemed to have worked. You know what? Age is not a barrier to starting all over again. Your morning could begin at this hour.
Good luck. Stay positive. Good night, and may you wake up refreshed, blessed with divine favor in the morning. Grace and peace!!!
