Finding Strength in Adversity: Navigating Life’s Challenges with Faith and Perseverance

There is nothing that happens to us that some others have not experienced in the past or is happening to someone else right now.

Sometimes, during adversity, some of us would be frightened, lose hope, or break down silently and ask, ”God! I have been faithful to you in all ways, but why is my case different from that of A or B, who do not serve you as much as I have done but are succeeding in all they do, and I am not?

Friends, I encourage you to be calm whatever you are going through. As long as you know God and have faith in His mighty nature, as long as you are hardworking and pursuing your passion, adversity in whatever form is not supposed to kill but to strengthen you.

If facing turbulent times, I encourage you to read Ecclesiastes 8:14-17 (KJV), which states, “There is something else meaningless that occurs on earth: the righteous who get what the wicked deserve, and the wicked who get what the righteous deserve. Have you not also noticed that rain from God also waters the crops of those you tag as bad people?

You may ask your Father in heaven so many questions for clarity, but I beg of you, some questions could make our faith in God wane.

Extreme questioning of something because of the challenges we face may cause us to backslide. Let it not be lost to you that bad things also happen to good people. Therefore, whatever challenges you face now will ease in due season, and they will give you joy.

As we enter the Holy or Passion Week, which reflects on Jesus’ sufferings, death, and resurrection, we should remain strong and steadfast in the faith.

I encourage all of us to always remain calm in the face of adversity. In challenging times, be focused on those things that bring radiance to your facial muscles, and do good perpetually.

Also, remember that there is a thin divide between success and failure, riches and poverty. Because God’s ways are mysterious, your next moments could be so sweet that they would warrant your adversaries to quake.
