The dead have no right of way. The dead cannot celebrate milestones or breathe. All these the living take for granted.

Businesses might have failed, but you are alive and ready to begin again. That gives hope that you could be replenished if you don’t give up. Starting may not be easy, but nothing says a successful outcome of a new beginning is impossible.

Health might have been challenged in 2023, but you are alive to throttle on against the windsails and vicissitudes of life as 2024 kicks in. Thank God because you will bounce back better and healthier if you have a solid resolve to live. So, don’t give up. Be happy.

There might be heightened insecurity, which has compounded the harsh socio-economic realities, which makes it difficult to enjoy as one would have wished. Don’t worry. You have been preserved for a purpose. Make this moment that you have excellent and beautiful. Don’t give up. Be happy.

During these turbulent times, let us remember to offer prayers for people held hostage by bandits and Boko haram, those in Gaza, Ukraine, and war-thorn environments being bombed every minute. They do not enjoy the freedom you have. Please, lift them spiritually.

You may not have money to give, but at least you could spiritually decree that the world has seen enough bloodletting, and we need quiet and harmony in 2024. As you do this, God shall bless you, your family, and the work of your hands. Happy New Year.
