Preserving Democracy’s Backbone: The Imperative of Upholding Judicial Independence for True Freedom, Justice, and Equity”
Even in advanced democracies, the system is usually rigged in favor of the elites. But one thing they always leave to protect the common man is the judiciary and its judicial processes.
Unless we learn to respect the judiciary and its judicial processes as a freeborn that must be accorded its rightful autonomy, and the respect it deserves as arm of government, this democracy would always need serious therapeutic support to leapfrog out of the drifting political craft.
Be that as it may, the practitioners themselves must also say no to any inducements that could destroy the essence of the blindfolded Lady Justice. Only then, can we truly say that our race for freedom, justice and equity has commenced. This remains a task that must be done, and quickly too.
Grace and peace!!!
