Beyond Religion and Tribe: A Call for National Unity in Times of Hardship

For those who see leadership through the prism of religion and tribe, is anyone free now from the current hardship in the land because the person is a Christian or a Muslim? Do your religion and tribe insulate you from the fuel and Naira scarcities? Can anyone tell the fuel attendant or ATM that the fellow is a Christian, Muslim, Hausa, Yoruba, Igbo, and fuel or new Naira notes shall be dispensed without queuing for the essential commodity?

Does the ATM recognize our languages and tribes as access without our PINs? So, those tied to the apron strings of tribe and religion could perhaps now see the folly in their parochialism.

Unless we see ourselves foremost as a country, everything will stay the same, and the slide will be faster and more continuous. The earlier we stop the decline, the better. Leaders arise.

Grace and peace!!!
